Datuk Shaharon Anuar Bin Abdul Latif was born on August 1, 1962 in Taiping, Perak. He is the Head of the Kuala Lumpur Contingent Management Department. Datuk Shaharon is also wellknown for his role as SAC Saiful in popular police drama series, Gerak Khas. He starred in thedrama series from 1999 to 2001 and returned to succeed his character in 2019. Datuk Shaharon started his career in 1984 as Probationary Inspector of Police in Royal MalaysiaPolice Headquarters, Bukit Aman and moved to Kota Kinabalu District Police Headquarters asCommercial Crime Investigating Officer in 1985. He was then transferred back to Royal MalaysiaPolice Headquarters, Bukit Aman as Inspector of Service Department in 1989, where he servedfrom March 4, 1989 till January 17, 1990. Datuk Shaharon changed his portfolio in January18,1990 as Inspector of Public Relations, where he served there till June 30, 1996. He was thenpromoted to be Assistant Superintendent of Police in Public Relations Department in July 1,1996 till March 31, 2003. Starting April 1, 2003, Datuk Shaharon served the Department asDeputy Superintendent of Police in Royal Malaysia Police Headquarters, Bukit Aman till October12, 2003.
Datuk Shaharon took his career to another level when is participated in Diploma in InvestigativeScience in University Malaya from October 13, 2003 till March 2, 2005 where he was awardedas 2nd best Student. In April 1, 2005, Datuk Shaharon was promoted to Deputy Superintendentof Police Investigation II Commercial Crime Investigation Department, Kuala Lumpur ContingentHeadquarters.
He served here till August 31, 2005 before moving to Superintendent ofInvestigation I, Penang IPK Commercial Crime Investigation Department, where he served tillJanuary 2, 2012. Datuk Shaharon was then conferred as Batu Gajah District Police Chief, Perakin January 3, 2012 till June 15, 2015. In June 16, 2012, Datuk Shaharon was advocated as Headof Perak Contingent Management Department. He was serving as the Head of Perak ContingentManagement Department till September 2, 2018 before transferred to Kuala Lumpur as Head ofDeputy Director of Kuala Lumpur Contingent Management Department in Bukit Aman onSeptember 3, 2018. He was the Head of Deputy Director of Contingent ManagementDepartment till October 30, 2018 before transferred to Service Management Department as theHead of Deputy Director on October 31, 2018. Datuk Shaharon conferred as the Head of KualaLumpur Contingent Management Department in Bukit Aman in December 9, 2019 and servingthe post till now.
Datuk Shaharon is not conservative in getting awards and has received countless awards throughout his career. Amongst the awards he was awarded was Service Excellence Award where it was presented with the award in 1993, 2001 and 2008. Throughout his career, DatukShaharon was also awarded with innumerable commissions starting with Pingat Ahli MangkuNegara (AMN) from DYMM SPB Agong in June 1 2002 followed by PingatPahlawanPasukanPolis (PPP) by DYMM SPB YDP Agong in July 6, 2004. Datuk Shaharon was then awarded withPingat Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) by KDYMM Sultan Pahang in April 10, 2007 followed byPingatDarjah Paduka Cura Si Manjakini (PCM) by DYMM Sultan Perak in May 24, 2014. InAugust 5, 2014 Datuk Shaharon was awarded with PingatPahlawan Setia Pasukan Polis (PSPP)by DYMM SPB YDP Agong. He was also the awardee of Pingat Jasa Pahlawan Negara (PJPN) byDYMM SPB YDP Agong in October 11, 2018 before conferred with DarjahPangkuan Seri Melaka(DPSM) by TYT YDP Negeri Melaka in October 11, 2020. Recently, Datuk Shaharon was alsoawarded with Darjah Johan Mahkota Wilayah (JMW) by DYMM SPB YDP Agong in February 1,2021. Apart from these commissions, Datuk Shaharon was also awarded with 46 Letters ofAppreciation throughout his career in Royal Police Department.
